Laurie Matkowski, Director of Connected and Automated Vehicle Services, Gannett Fleming, Inc.
Laurie is Gannett Fleming’s Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) Services Director, nationally recognized as a Subject Matter Expert on strategic planning to integrate future transportation technologies to advance mobility. Her work is focused on planning for operations in the areas of CAV, Smart Cities, Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO), traffic and transportation engineering, multimodal connections, electric vehicle implications, mobility on demand (MOD), mobility-as-a-service (MaaS), intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and traffic incident management (TIM). She helps clients assess infrastructure readiness for automated driving systems and is highly skilled in public speaking, stakeholder outreach, and consensus building on diverse projects with a wide variety of agencies from federal to local, both public and private. She is involved with WTS nationally and was honored as WTS Philadelphia’s Woman of the Year in 2014. Laurie has served on various boards of directors and in leadership roles for the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the National Operations Center of Excellence. Outside of work, she practices yoga daily, follows F1 racing, and is raising two middle school daughters.
