Brittany Salin, Engineering Manager, Mars, Inc.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Brittany spearheaded student development initiatives as President of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers.
She started her journey with Mars Wrigley as a Quality Engineering Intern in 2014, focusing on applying 6 Sigma methodologies to optimize the Snickers Fun Size line. Transitioning to an R&D Continuous Improvement Engineer role in Elizabethtown, PA, Brittany led 6 Sigma initiatives and drove continuous improvement projects, while also spearheading validations for capital projects.
Her dedication to sharing best practices and fostering networking opportunities is evident through her leadership with Community of Practice calls across North American sites. Recognizing the value of personal growth, she embraced a Packaging Project Engineering role in the Regional Engineering team in 2018, capitalizing on Mars’ commitment to the professional development of their associates.
Transitioning to Project Engineering has been a pivotal career move, providing unparalleled opportunities for growth and development. Through this role, Brittany has honed technical expertise, project management skills, and essential soft skills crucial for leadership. Stepping into the Engineering Manager role, she has strategically cultivated talent pipelines and spearheaded programs such as the Engineering Development Program and Supply Leadership Rotational Program, leaving a lasting impact on Mars Wrigley’s regional engineering landscape.
